Ok. I was browsing wirednews.com today and saw the first headline
"anti-attack
feds pushing carnivore"...
For those of you who don't know, Carnivore is the new government system for
monitoring content distributed through on-line
means, most notably e-mail. The roll of the device is to seek out those
discussing/distributing "dangerous" information.
I think you can all see where this is going. We all need to keep our heads
on
straight and realize that the danger of terrorism exists
no matter how many civil rights we let go, and indeed the danger of our own
government becomes greater. The internet is
an amazing force for getting out from under opressive governments, the
minute we
lose it's freedom, we also lose hope to
realize it's potential for leveling the playing field of masses to
government.
The time to make a stand is now, petitions, protests, anything. We can't
let
this tragedy result in our own enslavement.
